AT KIATERRA WE AIM TO RAISE UP INDONESIAN COFFEE BY INCLUDING PEOPLE & PLANET IN OUR PRODUCT
We believe sustainable coffee businesses start at the very beginning with the seeds on the farm. We want to commercialize coffee beans from Indonesia while working in harmony with all people involved along the value chain , and while pursuing a minimal impact of our product to our planet. Therefore we carefully select Indonesian coffee that is organically grown through sustainable farming practices , and for which a fair price is paid to the farmers. To provide transparency on this, we work hand-in-hand with our producer in Indonesia, from whom we directly import the coffee ourselves.
Our coffee selections are 100% Arabica type, from fully ripe cherries that are hand-picked and sorted, single origin, and typically graded above 83 following specialty coffee guidelines. In the Netherlands, we roast the coffee beans ourselves, without blending to maintain the authenticity of Indonesian specialty coffee. We make sure to roast freshly in small batches, following our self-developed profiles, striving to bring out the best coffee experience in your cup.
