Small Batch Roasting

We roast our coffees in small batches to stay close to each coffee we work with.
Small-batch roasting gives us greater control and precision. It allows us to adjust and refine each roast profile based on origin, harvest, and processing, rather than forcing a fixed result. By roasting in small batches, we can respond to each lot individually and develop profiles that bring out balance, clarity, and the natural character of the coffee. Each coffee is roasted using its own profile, developed in-house. Our approach helps prevent the overdevelopment often found in mass production roasting and allows flavours and aromas to emerge more clearly.

From our current selections:
• Black is roasted medium to bring out the depth and boldness of typical sumatra gayo process
• Red is roasted light-medium to highlight berry notes from the honey process
• Gold is roasted light to express brighter, tropical fruit flavours that appear early in the roast , due to the fermentation process

Freshness

Freshness plays a key role in aroma and flavour.

By roasting in small batches, our coffees reach you shortly after roasting. This helps preserve aromatic intensity and ensures the coffee is enjoyed at its best.

Quality and sustainability

Specialty coffee offers higher quality in the cup, but also encourages more responsible use of resources. Small-batch roasting reduces waste during production and allows us to work more thoughtfully with each coffee we source.

Balance and drinkability

Precise roast development helps us minimize harsh bitterness and create a more balanced sensory profile. By avoiding overly dark roasts, we aim to preserve clarity, sweetness, and the natural characteristics of each coffee.

Our focus is always on balance, clarity, and a faithful expression of origin — letting the work done at the farm remain at the center of the cup.
